Frequently Asked Questions
Bona fide students from the Ateneo de Manila University's School of Science and Engineering (SOSE) may apply. They must be:
(1) currently enrolled as an undergraduate student in his/her final year (4th or 5th year);
(2) currently enrolled as a master's degree student; or
(3) B.S. and M.S. graduates who are interested to get a graduate degree in Japan (especially in NAIST).
See the instructions here . There will also be a briefing about the internship on August 30, 2019 at Ateneo de Manila University.
The internship will be from 6 - 17 January 2020.
The deadline is on 21 September 2019, 11:59PM (Philippine Standard Time).
Results will be released mid-October 2019.
A total of 5 interns will be accepted.
Successful applicants will be assigned to one of their chosen laboratories. However, if for some reason the laboratory you selected is not able to accommodate you, you will be assigned to the one nearest to your field of interest. We recommend that you choose laboratories that match your current research projects/ interests, or can provide technical/research skills that you want to acquire
You may apply for any of the labs in the list of participating labs. You may want to check their website for more details.
NAPI 2020 covers round trip plane fare (Manila - Osaka - Manila), transportation to and from the airport, and accommodations during the internship period.
You may send an email to your host professor to introduce yourself, and discuss potential topics you will be working on during your internship.
